    1. I spent a year dating the divorced guy only for him to realize he was not ready for marriage in the end... We had these difficult conversations, but I wish we had them earlier. It's these conversations that led to the realization he wasn't ready. I was ready... he broke my heart
    2. Evan, it was very frustrating watching this video because you wouldn't let him speak. I would think that you would be a better listener considering what you do. Hopefully you can take this as constructive critism and work on that. I would've really enjoyed watching this but I couldn't finish because I couldn't get past you talking over him.
    3. I think most women would be concerned about a guy being best friends with his ex on the first date. There’s been no trust established at this stage from which to build and see it in the proper context. Maybe that’s just me. I appreciate that Evan doesn’t back down and that they can have a healthy dialogue. Maybe they needed to move on quicker though to a new topic, though, haha.
    4. I would NEVER follow any advice from the guy in the blue shirt. He is crazy and nuts.
    5. OMG! Let the guy talk!
    6. Evan, I also think older women/ men don't literally have as much time as younger people to find the most suitable mate for them. Their time and patience is a bit more limited so I think Jonathan's reasonable approach to putting important things up front ( not petty little things ) is more sensible for the age and mindset.
    7. My experience of going Dutch-He’s wanting fwb. Some are insulted if I pay. In relationship people don’t go Dutch. I don’t mind paying sometimes but not in the initial dates. I paid a lot for my appearance to look and smell great. Men should consider that more goes into a date for women. We risk our very safety. If you want to see her again demonstrate being a provider and protector.
    8. I think both have good points. I would land somewhere in the middle. I think it's a bad idea to be too hypervigilant about deal breakers on day one. If your looking for reasons to eliminate then you will usually find something. There are things we should tell people before going too far in so that we avoid wasting time or feeling decieved later. With that said, there is so much love, joy and value that a person can bring to your life that makes it worth dealing with a little baggage but if you get hit between the eyes with their baggage before they have revealed their value then its human nature to run for the hills.
Anyway, I think you guys could have found that common ground that I just described without having a pissing contest and since Evan was the host, I would say he is responsible for setting the tone and being gracious.
    9. I totally agree w/ Evan!!!
    10. I think both of you are in different age brackets for dating and would like to see you address the differences in how to handle the issues you discussed from that perspective. It seems more openness and honesty is a standard the older we become.
    11. I love the banter between both of you... this is refreshing! Thank you Both!!!!!!!
    12. You guys are coming from different angles one of you is trying to tone down the masculine energy of a woman so that she can be present and her more feminine self and the other is trying to bring a little more masculine directness into dating
    13. IMPORTANT: If a man told me, on the first date, that he is best friends with an ex, I would say, "No, you're actually in love with her or else that wouldn't be foremost on your mind." End of discussion. AND, I'm someone who IS, in fact, still friends with most of my exes. But it's not material to a first date.
    14. I am even more conflicted than before 🤔😰🤯
    15. Although I think that Evan has good points, I think that his approach is somewhat deceptive. I don't want to get emotional invested into you then hear something that I would have said HELL NO to later. That's somewhat like a trap
    16. I think Evan may be right. At least it feels more right.
    17. The actual discussion on divorced men dating tendencies comes around 35mins.

And alas, they speak the truth. Got my heart crushed through dating a man going through a rough divorce and family court. I think maybe he had good intentions and was into me, but it became clear that he wasnt emotionally available or able to communicate effectively. I thought he was finally the guy I had been looking for, but now realize with that timing, it wasnt going to work. Hes looking for companionship and regular sex, which I was happy to give, but no time spent together, little support. Means no relationship can happen. I hope he comes back when hes got that out of his system, I'm scared he will get snapped up by the next woman who is a bit more patient/dating smart than i was.
    18. Ooof. Getting through this interview was so painful. Interviewer seemed douchey, defensive, and didn’t give his guest the opportunity to finish his thoughts. Super annoying hoe condescending he sounds, plugging sources to illustrate how he has certain scholars on his side. He could’ve done all this in a better way. Would not listen to this guy's advice.
    19. I stopped watching. let the guest speak!!!!!
    20. I think it is better ask questions especially deal breakers earlier than later as you fell connected but at the Same time if you still couldn't figure out the answers of those questions naturally then you grow fear as well, and other becomes harder if the answer comes wrong as a deal breaker and feel hurt more as you grow feelings...so I am younger but still agree with Jonathan
